Position Overview
Our focus is to help feed local families and communities. As a Selector Trainee, you will select grocery, frozen, or perishable products using equipment like pallet jacks, following safety standards. Your duties include accurately picking items, labeling, wrapping pallets, and transporting them to shipping areas for delivery. You will operate material handling equipment, ensure work quality, and maintain a clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy and safety compliance in product selection and handling.
- Use pick sheets or technology to select products.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to move products.
- Wrap pallets securely, label, and transport to shipping.
- Perform equipment inspections and keep work areas clean.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and follow safety policies.
- Reliability, good attendance, and quality work production.
- Physical capability to stand, lift up to 60 lbs, bend, and walk long distances.
- Comfort working in refrigerated or frozen environments.
- Strong work ethic, safety commitment, and teamwork skills.
Physical demands: Standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and walking on various surfaces, with temperature variations from refrigerated to frozen areas.
