We are seeking a Real Estate Counsel to support renewable energy project development, focusing on TE financing transactions, project and asset due diligence, and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with project development teams on strategy, contracts, and acquisitions.
- Managing real estate deliverables, curative actions, and liaising with capital markets and outside counsel.
- Reviewing and negotiating leases, easements, purchase agreements, and site control documents.
- Analyzing title commitments, policies, and surveys; supporting title curative work.
- Providing legal support for project finance, M&A transactions, permitting, and interconnection.
- Conducting due diligence, resolving process roadblocks, and managing contracts.
- Communicating across teams to drive deals while minimizing legal risks.
Qualifications include:
- J.D. and licensure in at least one state.
- 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate and renewable energy industry.
- Strong drafting, negotiating, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage risks.
- Leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
