Position Overview: The Retail Store Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers professionally, fostering a sense of community.
- Stock shelves, maintain cooler and case conditions, and rotate products.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of store areas and equipment.
- Resolve price discrepancies to minimize shrinkage.
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations during food handling.
- Assist in other departments as needed and collaborate on sales promotions.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of retail store operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, courteous customer service, and reading skills.
- Physical ability to stand, lift up to 80 lbs, and operate various equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales.
- Experience in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
Environment & Other Details: Work in a grocery store environment with varied shift options. Availability for 2nd shift is required. The role emphasizes attendance, initiative, safety, and productivity.
