Position Overview
Assist in feeding communities by safely loading pallets of merchandise onto trailers at a distribution center.
Contribute to efficient daily operations by utilizing material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Responsibilities
- Load full pallets into trailers, ensuring secure placement and proper inspection of trailers and equipment.
- Verify orders using RF handhelds or voice headsets.
- Perform equipment inspections and safe lifting of products weighing 1-60+ lbs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year of experience operating material handling equipment, especially forklifts.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures.
- Team-oriented with a passion for helping others and supporting community initiatives.
- Ability to follow all safety and operational protocols.
Key Duties & Environment
Stand, bend, lift, and move frequently on various surfaces, handling products from floor to overhead. Work may involve cold environments typical of grocery storage.
