Highway Engineer to design and manage highway and roadway projects from concept through construction for a civil consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop highway/roadway designs including geometric layout, drainage, and traffic control.
- Produce cost estimates and construction documents.
- Coordinate with DOTs and local agencies throughout project development.
- Support permitting activities and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Review contractor submittals and support construction-phase engineering.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong civil engineering fundamentals with experience in roadway/highway design.
- Proficiency with engineering design processes for geometry, drainage, and traffic control.
- Ability to prepare technical documents, estimates, and project deliverables.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with agencies and internal teams.
